As the Nebraska bowling crew outfits to shield its public title, a comfortable face with title experience will loan some assistance.
Julia Bond, a four-time All-American who played for the Huskers from 2014-18, will join the Nebraska training staff as an associate mentor, the group reported Tuesday.
Bond helped lead NU to a public title as a green bean in the 2014-15 season and is viewed as probably the best bowler in program history.
"She will do incredible things for the program, and we are completely eager to have her go along with us as we continued looking for consecutive public titles," Husker lead trainer Paul Klempa said in a news discharge. "Julia had a mind blowing Husker vocation and has proceeded to discover accomplishment in the expert positions. … She will bring that fire into her new position, and we will all invite it."
As an expert, Bond won two occasions this year, including a significant (USBC Queens) in May, and has won three local titles since 2019.
All things being equal, she's anxious to get back to the school positions.
"I'm very eager to be returning," Bond said in the delivery. "University bowling remains as a cherished memory to me and to be involved again at my place of graduation is beyond what I might at any point request."
The Huskers, who won their fifth public title last season, open the 2021-22 mission at the McKendree Bearcat Open on Oct. 22 in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
