It all started with a joke. A simple, innocuous joke that I heard at a party. I don't even remember what the joke was, but it struck a chord with me. I started laughing, and I couldn't stop.
At first, it was just a chuckle. But then it became a full-blown guffaw. I was doubled over, tears streaming down my face. Everyone at the party stared at me, but I didn't care. I couldn't control myself.
I laughed for hours. I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt. I laughed so hard that I thought I was going to pass out.
Finally, I collapsed on the floor, exhausted. But even then, I couldn't stop smiling.
The next day, I woke up still laughing. I couldn't help myself. Every time I thought about the joke, I started laughing again.
I went to work, but I couldn't concentrate. I kept thinking about the joke and laughing. My boss finally sent me home.
I went home and tried to watch TV, but I couldn't focus. I kept thinking about the joke and laughing.
I went to bed, but I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about the joke and laughing.
This went on for days. I couldn't stop laughing. I was starting to worry that I was going crazy.
Finally, I decided to see a doctor. The doctor examined me and said that I was perfectly healthy. He said that I was just experiencing a rare condition called "uncontrollable laughter." He said that it would eventually pass.
The doctor was right. After a few weeks, the uncontrollable laughter finally subsided. But even now, I can't hear that joke without starting to laugh.
I'm not sure what caused my uncontrollable laughter. Maybe it was just the joke. Maybe it was something else. But whatever it was, I'm glad it's over.
But I will never forget the experience. It was one of the most unique and memorable experiences of my life.
And if you ever hear that joke, be careful. It might just make you laugh uncontrollably too.
P.S. I still don't remember what the joke was.
