Waiting for Salawa Abeni

*
A few days ago, I was fortunate enough to attend a concert by Salawa Abeni, the legendary Nigerian singer. I have been a fan of her music for many years, and I was very excited to finally see her perform live.
The concert was held at the New Afrika Shrine in Lagos, Nigeria. The Shrine is a popular music venue that has hosted many legendary musicians over the years. The atmosphere was electric as we waited for Salawa Abeni to take the stage.
When she finally did, she was greeted with a roar of applause. She was dressed in a beautiful gown, and she had a big smile on her face. She started her set with one of her most popular songs, "Late General Murtala Muhammed." The crowd went wild, and they sang along to every word.
Salawa Abeni is a master musician. Her voice is strong and clear, and she has a natural talent for storytelling. She sang for over two hours, and she never lost the crowd's attention. She performed her biggest hits, such as "Waka Queen" and "Asewo," as well as some newer songs.
I was particularly impressed by her performance of "Iyawo Mi." This song is a beautiful ballad about love and marriage. Salawa Abeni sang it with so much emotion that I felt like I was right there with her.
The concert was a magical experience. Salawa Abeni is a true legend, and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to see her perform live. If you get the chance to see her, I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.
