It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of the Addams Family. The spooky, quirky family has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. So when I heard that Netflix was making a new show about Wednesday Addams, I was beyond excited.
I have to say, I was not disappointed. "Wednesday" is a dark, funny, and surprisingly heartwarming show that follows Wednesday as she navigates her new life at Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for outcasts.
Jenna Ortega is perfect in the role of Wednesday. She captures the character's signature deadpan delivery and morbid sense of humor perfectly. The rest of the cast is also great, with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán as Morticia and Gomez Addams, respectively.
The show is full of great moments, but my favorite is the episode where Wednesday investigates a series of murders at Nevermore. She uses her unique skills to solve the crime, and it's really satisfying to watch her put the pieces together.
