Weifang Hargouet: A Conversation
We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Weifang Hargouet for a conversation about his life and career.

Weifang, thank you for taking the time to talk to us.

Weifang: It's my pleasure.

Can you tell us a little bit about your background?

Weifang: I grew up in a small town in France. I started playing music at a young age. I was always drawn to pop music. I loved the catchy melodies and the relatable lyrics. I started writing my own songs when I was in high school. I didn't think much of them at the time, but I kept writing. Eventually, I started to get some of my songs played on local radio stations. That's when I realized that I might have something special.

What was your big break?

Weifang: I was working as a producer in a small studio in Paris when I met a young singer named Taylor Swift. She was just starting out at the time. I heard her sing, and I knew right away that she was special. I offered to produce her first album, and she agreed. The rest is history.

You've worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. What's it like to work with such talented people?

Weifang: It's an honor. I've learned so much from working with these artists. They're all so passionate about their music. They're always pushing themselves to be better. It's inspiring to be around them.

What's your creative process like?

Weifang: I usually start with a melody. Sometimes I'll hear a melody in my head, and I'll start singing it into my phone. Other times, I'll play around on the piano or guitar until I find something I like. Once I have a melody, I'll start to write the lyrics. I try to write lyrics that are relatable and meaningful. I want people to be able to connect with my songs on a personal level.

What advice would you give to aspiring songwriters?

Weifang: Just keep writing. The more you write, the better you'll get. Don't be afraid to share your songs with other people. Feedback is important. And never give up on your dreams. If you have a passion for music, follow it. You never know what you might achieve.

Thank you for your time, Weifang.
