What Happened When Quitin Olivetti Tried to Make a Sandwich

My name is Quitin Olivetti, and I am a terrible cook. I mean, I'm really bad. I once tried to make a grilled cheese sandwich and somehow managed to burn the bread and melt the cheese all over the stovetop. It was a disaster.
But I'm a determined person. I decided that I was going to learn how to make a decent sandwich, no matter what. So I went to the grocery store, bought all the ingredients, and got to work.
The first thing I did was take out the bread. I had two slices of white bread, and I spread some mayonnaise on one slice. Then I added some lettuce, tomato, and ham. I put the other slice of bread on top, and I was ready to eat.
But then I realized that I had forgotten the cheese. So I took the sandwich apart, put a slice of cheese on top of the ham, and put the sandwich back together.
I took a big bite, and it was delicious! The bread was soft and fluffy, the mayonnaise was creamy, and the lettuce, tomato, ham, and cheese were all fresh and flavorful.
I was so proud of myself. I had finally made a decent sandwich. And it only took me three tries.

Okay, so maybe my story isn't that exciting. But it's true. And it just goes to show that anyone can learn how to cook, even if they're as bad at it as I am.
So if you're thinking about learning how to cook, don't let your fear of failure stop you. Just go for it. You might be surprised at how well you do.
