What I Learned from Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail with Wahanassat Oberdorfer

By Wahanassat Oberdorfer
I've always been a bit of an adventurer, but hiking the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) was by far the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life. I learned a lot about myself, about the world, and about the importance of community.
I started my hike in April 2022, and I finished in September 2022. I hiked over 2,600 miles, through deserts, mountains, and forests. I saw some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, and I met some of the most amazing people.
Wahanassat Oberdorfer was one of those people. We met at a hiker hostel in Oregon, and we hiked together for several weeks. Wahanassat is a strong, independent woman, and she taught me a lot about perseverance and resilience.
One day, we were hiking through the desert, and we ran out of water. We were both exhausted and dehydrated, but Wahanassat refused to give up. She kept going, even when it seemed like we were about to collapse.
We finally reached a water source, and we were so relieved. Wahanassat's strength and determination inspired me, and it made me realize that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to.
Wahanassat is just one of the many people who made my PCT hike so special. I'm grateful for the community of hikers that I met along the way. They supported me, encouraged me, and helped me to make it to the finish line.
Hiking the PCT was a life-changing experience. It taught me about the importance of perseverance, resilience, and community. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have hiked the trail, and I'm so thankful for the people who shared this experience with me.
Here are a few of the things I learned from hiking the PCT with Wahanassat Oberdorfer:
  • Never give up, even when things get tough.
  • The importance of community and teamwork.
  • The power of nature and its ability to heal and inspire.

If you're thinking about hiking the PCT, I encourage you to go for it. It's a challenging but rewarding experience that will change your life forever.
