Who is leading in the US election?

The 2024 United States presidential election will be the 60th quadrennial presidential election, scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The Democratic nominee, US Vice President Kamala Harris, will face the Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump.
According to FiveThirtyEight`s polling average, Harris leads Trump by 4.6% in the national popular vote and has an 86% chance of winning the election. Trump has a 14% chance of winning.

However, the race is much closer in some key swing states. For example, in Pennsylvania, Trump has a 1.5% lead over Harris, and in Florida, Trump leads by 2.5%. These states could decide the outcome of the election.

The election is still too close to call, and several factors could affect the outcome. These include the performance of the economy, the candidates' campaign strategies, and the turnout of voters.
