Why Heller Lieck is the Best Travel Writer You've Never Heard Of
By Heller Lieck
I've been to over 100 countries, and I've seen some amazing things. But I've also seen some pretty crazy things. Like the time I was chased by a pack of wild dogs in Peru. Or the time I got lost in the Amazon rainforest for three days. Or the time I was robbed at gunpoint in South Africa.
But despite all of that, I still love to travel. It's in my blood. I can't help it. I'm a wanderer. A vagabond. A nomad.
I've been writing about my travels for over 20 years. I've written for magazines, newspapers, and websites. I've even written a few books. But I've never written anything like this before.
This is my story. The story of how I became a travel writer. The story of how I saw the world. The story of how I found myself.
It all started when I was a kid. I grew up in a small town in the Midwest. There wasn't much to do there, so I spent most of my time reading books. I read about faraway lands and exotic cultures. I dreamed of one day traveling the world.
When I was 18, I finally got my chance. I graduated from high school and took a gap year. I backpacked through Europe for six months. It was an amazing experience. I met new people, saw new things, and learned a lot about myself.
After I returned home, I knew that I wanted to keep traveling. I enrolled in college and majored in journalism. I wanted to learn how to write about my experiences.
After I graduated from college, I got a job as a travel writer. I've been writing about my travels ever since.
I've been to over 100 countries, and I've seen some amazing things. I've seen the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, and the Pyramids of Giza. I've climbed Mount Everest, sailed the Amazon River, and crossed the Sahara Desert.
I've also seen some pretty crazy things.
A vagabond. A nomad.
I've learned a lot from my travels. I've learned about different cultures, different religions, and different ways of life. I've learned that the world is a big and beautiful place. And I've learned that there's always something new to discover.
I'm not sure where my travels will take me next. But I'm excited to find out. I'm Heller Lieck, and I'm a travel writer.
