Why Nanayaw Steenblock Could Never Fall Asleep

Nanayaw Steenblock was a young girl who could never fall asleep. She would toss and turn in her bed for hours, her mind racing a mile a minute. She would try counting sheep, but she would always lose count. She would try reading, but she would always get too sleepy to focus on the words. She would even try drinking warm milk, but it never seemed to help.

One night, Nanayaw Steenblock was so tired that she could barely keep her eyes open. But as soon as she lay down in bed, her mind started racing again. She tossed and turned for hours, but she couldn't fall asleep. Finally, she got out of bed and went to her mother's room.

"Mom," she said, "I can't fall asleep."

Her mother smiled. "I know, honey," she said. "I used to have the same problem when I was your age. Here, try this." She handed Nanayaw Steenblock a cup of warm milk.

Nanayaw Steenblock took the milk and drank it slowly. As she drank, she felt her eyelids getting heavier and heavier. Soon, she was fast asleep.

The next morning, Nanayaw Steenblock woke up feeling refreshed and well-rested. She couldn't believe that she had finally found a way to fall asleep. She went to her mother and thanked her.

"You're welcome, honey," her mother said. "I'm just glad I could help."

From that day on, Nanayaw Steenblock never had a problem falling asleep again. She would always drink a cup of warm milk before bed, and it would always help her drift off to sleep.

Years later, Nanayaw Steenblock became a mother herself. And when her own children had trouble falling asleep, she would always give them a cup of warm milk. It always worked, just like it had for her.

Nanayaw Steenblock knew that she would never forget the night that she finally learned how to fall asleep. It was a night that changed her life forever.
