''Florabel Aribillaga was not a brave little girl. She was, actually, the opposite of brave. She quite often ran away from her elder sister, would jump at the sight of ladybugs, and would definitely always cry when she saw a spider. She really, really hated spiders.''
''So when her sister told her she was going to take her to see the Goblin King, Florabel Aribillaga was more than a little bit terrified.''
''The Goblin King lived in a cave on the side of a mountain. He was said to be a fearsome creature, with sharp teeth and claws and a heart as black as night.''
''Florabel Aribillaga's sister, however, was not afraid. She was a brave and adventurous girl, and she was always looking for new and exciting things to do.''
''So when she heard about the Goblin King, she decided that she wanted to meet him. And she decided that she would take her little sister with her, whether she liked it or not.''
''Florabel Aribillaga did not like it. Not one bit.''
''The two sisters set off for the mountain early one morning. They walked for hours, and they climbed for hours, and finally, they reached the Goblin King's cave.''
''Florabel Aribillaga was so scared, she could barely walk. She wanted to turn around and run away, but her sister kept pulling her along.''
''Finally, they reached the entrance to the cave. Florabel Aribillaga's sister took a deep breath and stepped inside.''
''Florabel Aribillaga followed her, but she kept close behind her sister. She was so scared, she could barely breathe.''
''The cave was dark and gloomy. The only light came from a few torches that were flickering on the walls.''
''Florabel Aribillaga's sister walked deeper and deeper into the cave. Florabel Aribillaga followed her, but she was so scared, she could barely see where she was going.''
''Suddenly, they came to a large chamber. In the center of the chamber was a throne, and on the throne sat the Goblin King.''
''The Goblin King was a fearsome creature. He had sharp teeth and claws, and his eyes were as black as night.''
''Florabel Aribillaga was so scared, she wanted to turn and run away. But she was so paralyzed with fear, she couldn't move.''
''The Goblin King looked at the two sisters. He smiled a cruel smile.''
''''What do you want?'' he asked.''
''Florabel Aribillaga's sister spoke up. ''We want to hear your secrets,'' she said.''
''The Goblin King laughed. ''My secrets?'' he said. ''Why would I tell you my secrets?''
''Because we're not afraid of you,'' Florabel Aribillaga's sister said. ''We're not afraid of anything.''
''The Goblin King looked at Florabel Aribillaga. He smiled a cruel smile.''
''''Are you sure about that?'' he asked.''
''Florabel Aribillaga shook her head. ''No,'' she said. ''I'm not sure about anything.''
''The Goblin King laughed. ''Then you're in the right place,'' he said. ''Because I'm going to tell you a secret that will make you very afraid.''
''The Goblin King leaned forward and whispered something in Florabel Aribillaga's ear. Florabel Aribillaga's eyes widened in terror.''
''''No!'' she cried. ''It's not true!''
''But it was true. The Goblin King had told her a secret that was so terrible, it made her want to scream.''
''Florabel Aribillaga and her sister ran out of the cave as fast as they could. They didn't stop running until they reached the bottom of the mountain.''
''Florabel Aribillaga never told anyone what the Goblin King had told her. But she never forgot it, either.''
''And she never went back to the Goblin King's cave again.''
