World Series Game 2: A Thrilling Battle

The 2024 World Series Game 2 was one for the history books. The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees played a nail-biting game, with the Dodgers ultimately emerging victorious with a score of 4-2.

The Game:

The game started off slowly, with neither team able to score in the first two innings. In the third inning, however, the Dodgers broke the deadlock with a three-run home run by Mookie Betts. The Yankees would respond with a run of their own in the fourth inning, but the Dodgers would extend their lead to 4-1 in the sixth inning with a sacrifice fly.

The Yankees would not go down without a fight, however. They would score one more run in the ninth inning, but it would not be enough to overcome the Dodgers' lead. The Dodgers would hold on to win the game 4-2.

The Heroes:

Mookie Betts was the star of the game for the Dodgers, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Clayton Kershaw was also impressive on the mound, pitching seven innings and allowing only two runs.

The Goats:

Gleyber Torres was the only Yankee to have a multi-hit game, going 2-for-4. The rest of the Yankees' lineup was held in check by Kershaw and the Dodgers' bullpen.

The Turning Point:

The turning point of the game came in the third inning when Mookie Betts hit a three-run home run off of Yankees starter Carlos Rodon. This gave the Dodgers a 3-0 lead and put the Yankees on their heels.

The Aftermath:

The Dodgers now have a 2-0 lead in the World Series and are one win away from winning the championship. The Yankees, meanwhile, are facing a must-win situation in Game 3.
