WSU Football
Growing up in the eastern Washington town of Cheney, my life was always filled with crimson and gray. From decorating our home for game day to driving hours to Martin Stadium for every home game, my family's passion for Washington State University football was infectious.
I was lucky enough to be a student at WSU during the magical 2018 season, when the Cougars went 11-2 and won the Apple Cup for the first time in a decade. The energy in Pullman that year was electric, and I'll never forget the feeling of storming the field after that victory.
But even in the leaner years, I've always loved cheering on the Cougs. There's something special about the camaraderie among WSU fans, and the sense of community that comes from rooting for our team.
I've seen some great players come and go over the years, from quarterback Connor Halliday to running back Jamal Morrow. But my favorite Cougar of all time has to be Luke Falk. Falk was a record-breaking quarterback who led WSU to its first bowl game in over a decade. He was also a humble and hardworking player who always put the team first.
I'm excited to see what the future holds for WSU football. Head coach Jake Dickert is a rising star, and he's already shown that he can win at a high level. With a talented roster and a passionate fan base, the Cougars are poised to make some noise in the Pac-12 and beyond.
Go Cougs!
