Yang Yan: From Model to Yoga Guru




Once known as the "E-Goddess" of the Hong Kong modeling scene, Carol Yeung, now known as Yang Yan, has traded in her sultry poses for a life of yoga and motherhood.
Yang Yan's journey has been nothing short of remarkable, capturing the attention of many who have witnessed her transformation from a sought-after model to a respected yoga instructor. Born in Hong Kong, Yang Yan entered the modeling world in her early twenties. With her striking beauty and alluring aura, she quickly rose to fame, earning the title of "E-Goddess" due to her voluptuous figure.
As her modeling career flourished, Yang Yan graced the covers of countless magazines and starred in numerous commercials. However, despite her success in the industry, she felt a growing sense of dissatisfaction. The constant objectification and pressure to maintain an unrealistic image began to take a toll on her well-being.
In search of a deeper purpose, Yang Yan decided to leave the modeling world behind and embark on a new path. She turned to yoga, finding solace in its physical and mental benefits. Through the practice of yoga, she discovered a renewed sense of balance and inner peace.
After completing her yoga teacher training, Yang Yan established her own yoga studio, where she now teaches a variety of classes, including Vinyasa and Ashtanga. Outside of the yoga studio, Yang Yan is also a dedicated advocate for mental health and well-being. In 2022, she joined forces with the non-profit organization Suicide Prevention Services to launch a campaign aimed at raising awareness about mental health issues and encouraging conversations around suicide prevention.
