Yeo Wenxian

Yeo Wenxian, a Singaporean woman, was born in 1922. She was a school teacher and a social worker. Even after she retired, she continued to volunteer her time to help others. She was known for her kindness and compassion.

Yeo Wenxian was born in a poor family. She was the eldest of seven children. Her father was a rickshaw puller and her mother was a housewife. Even though her family was poor, they were very close-knit. Yeo Wenxian was a smart and diligent student. She was always the top of her class.

After graduating from high school, Yeo Wenxian went to Raffles College. She graduated with a degree in English Literature. After graduating from college, Yeo Wenxian became a teacher at a secondary school. She was a very dedicated teacher who loved her students. She was always willing to go the extra mile to help them succeed.

In 1965, Singapore became independent from Malaysia. Yeo Wenxian was one of the many people who worked hard to build the new nation. She volunteered her time to help with the community development programs. She also helped to set up the Singapore Red Cross Society.

Yeo Wenxian retired from teaching in 1982. However, she continued to volunteer her time to help others. She was a member of the Singapore Council of Social Service and the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped. She also helped to set up the Singapore Hospice Council.

Yeo Wenxian was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to helping others. She was a role model for young people and she inspired them to make a difference in the world.

Yeo Wenxian passed away in 2012 at the age of 90. She was survived by her two children and four grandchildren. Her legacy will continue to inspire young people for generations to come.
