YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT FOX SPORTS PATRICK DELANY SAID ABOUT HIS NEW ROLE!

Patrick Delany, the former host of Fox Sports’ AFL coverage, has spoken out about his new role with the network. In an exclusive interview with The Daily Telegraph, Delany said he was “excited” about the opportunity to join Fox Sports’ NRL team.

“I’m a big fan of the NRL and I think it’s a great game,” Delany said.

“I’m looking forward to getting to know the players and the teams and I’m sure I’ll learn a lot along the way.”

Delany’s move to Fox Sports comes after he was axed from his role at Channel 7 earlier this year.

Channel 7 decided not to renew Delany’s contract after 10 years with the network.

At the time, Delany said he was “disappointed” by the decision, but he wished Channel 7 all the best.

Since then, Delany has been working as a freelancer and he has also appeared on SEN radio.

Delany’s appointment to Fox Sports’ NRL team has been welcomed by many in the rugby league community.

Former NRL player and Fox Sports commentator Greg Alexander said Delany was a “great addition” to the team.

“He’s a very knowledgeable and experienced commentator,” Alexander said.

“He’ll be a great asset to Fox Sports and I’m sure he’ll be a hit with the viewers.”

Delany’s first appearance on Fox Sports will be on Thursday night when the Broncos take on the Bulldogs.
